We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to implement a content paywall for our website. The ideal candidate will have experience with WordPress plugins and payment gateways, along with a solid understanding of user experience design. You will be responsible for developing a seamless paywall that allows users to access premium content upon payment. The project requires attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a high-quality user interface. If you are passionate about enhancing website functionality and user engagement, we would love to hear from you! //Project Overview We’re looking for an expert-level WordPress developer to design and implement a simple, reliable, and fast registration wall for https://publicpicks.com our sports betting content site. We don’t need a full-blown membership platform. We want a lightweight, performant system that: - Lets us designate specific articles as “Premium.” - Shows a clear CTA + registration gate on Premium articles for non-registered visitors. - Grants full access to all Premium content once a user is registered and logged in. - Tracks how many Premium articles each registered user accesses within defined time windows (e.g., per day/week/month). We’re open to either replacing or modifying our current setup, depending on your recommendation (https://tagdiv.com/tagdiv-opt-in-builder-membership-management-plugin/). //Ideal Candidate We’re specifically looking for someone who: - Has 5+ years of professional WordPress development experience. - Has built custom plugins, membership/registration systems, or content-gating/paywall solutions. - Is obsessed with performance: -- Familiar with query optimization, caching, minimizing plugin bloat, and Core Web Vitals considerations. - Writes clean, well-documented code that follows WordPress standards. - Understands security best practices: sanitization, validation, capability checks, and secure authentication flows. - Communicates clearly and can explain tradeoffs (e.g., why a custom plugin vs. a large membership suite). //Project Type & Timeline Project type: One-time project with potential for ongoing work on PublicPicks and related projects. Start date: As soon as we find the right fit.
