Short-Form Video Editor for Music/Comedy Reels (Modern, Clean, LA Aesthetic) We are a Los Angeles–based music and creative team looking for a short-form editor who understands humor, modern pacing, and clean aesthetic editing. We are building out consistent reels and skits for a band and a music studio, and we need an editor whose natural style matches our tone. We do NOT want: slapstick sound effects cheesy stock music meme templates cartoon emojis heavy transitions kinetic text outdated TikTok trends We DO want: clean, punchy pacing modern, subtle editing tasteful text when needed strong hooks in the first 1–2 seconds elevated aesthetic (not meme-y) subtle humor timing strong storytelling flow visually engaging cuts every 1–2 seconds simple but intentional audio choices Our content includes: comedy skits band content talking-head educational pieces behind-the-scenes music-related humor lifestyle + performance shots Compensation: We will use an hourly contract on Upwork. For clarity and consistency, each type of edit generally falls into a predictable time range: Short edits (7–45 seconds): Typically take a small amount of editing time Longer reels (up to 60 seconds): Slightly more time Lyric videos: Longer structured edits We will discuss specific expectations and editing complexity so the hours make sense for both sides. Daily/weekly output is flexible depending on mutual agreement. REQUIREMENTS: Must understand humor and pacing Must edit with a modern, minimal, elevated feel Must follow brand guidelines (we provide a style guide) Must work FAST (48h turnarounds once trained) Good communication, open to feedback, detail-oriented Must be comfortable with multiple revisions in the beginning
