We are hiring an experienced QuickBooks Online bookkeeper to clean up and reorganize an existing QBO file. Short-term project with potential for future work if it's a great fit, and an Opportunity to make a big impact by getting our books CPA-ready. It is not CPA work, not tax filing, and not system design. You will be following clear instructions we provide to correct historical entries and organize the books properly. The goal is to leave the books clean, consistent, and CPA-ready. Approximately 200 transactions to clean; estimated 40–80 hours total, heavier upfront with a little work leftover. What you’ll do: • Reclassify and clean up existing transactions (around 200) • Correct account usage (income, expense, asset, liability) • Apply Classes and Jobs correctly • Clean up investor capital entries • Organize property-level transactions • Prepare the books for handoff to our CPA You will NOT be responsible for tax decisions, GAAP interpretation, filings, or investor communications. Important structure (provided to you): • Classes are used to track investor pools • Jobs are used to track individual properties • Investor funds are tracked as liabilities, not income • Properties remain assets until sold or redeemed A written guide will be provided. Your role is execution, not design. Good fit if you: • Are very comfortable in QuickBooks Online • Have done cleanup projects before • Have used Classes and Jobs in QBO • Have real estate or investor bookkeeping experience • Prefer clear rules and structured workflows Time & pay: Short-term cleanup project with heavier hours up front. Hourly pay: $10–25/hr depending on experience.
