Podcast Growth Strategist (Independent / Remote) ________________________________________ Overview We are launching a solo, host-led podcast built around conviction, clarity, and disciplined conversations. The show is values-driven, authority-first, and designed for long-term growth — not viral spikes. We are seeking an experienced podcast growth strategist to manage distribution, optimization, and performance execution while working within clearly defined messaging and brand guardrails. This is not a social media manager role and not a creative ideation position. Strategy is set internally. We are hiring for execution excellence and platform intelligence. ________________________________________ Core Responsibilities You will be responsible for growing the podcast audience steadily and sustainably through disciplined execution. Primary Duties • Optimize episodes for Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube • Develop and manage episode title and description strategy • Ensure consistent publishing workflows and cadence • Advise on clip selection and packaging (idea-driven, not reactionary) • Track and report on performance metrics: o Listener retention o Completion rates o Follower growth o Platform trends • Recommend iterative improvements based on data, not trends ________________________________________ What You Will Not Be Doing • Rewriting the host’s voice or message • Creating ideological positioning • Chasing virality or trends • Managing paid ads (at this stage) • Running generic social media calendars Message authority and tone are not delegated. ________________________________________ Ideal Candidate Profile Experience • 5+ years in podcast growth, audience development, or media distribution • Direct experience with solo-host podcasts • Strong understanding of: o Apple Podcasts ranking and reviews o Spotify follower behavior o YouTube watch time and discoverability • Background in media, journalism, or long-form content preferred Traits • Disciplined and analytical • Comfortable working within firm guardrails • Thinks in systems and quarters, not tactics and days • Values consistency over hype • Clear written and spoken English ________________________________________ Location Remote.
