- Position Summary
- Our client, a national business valuation firm headquartered in Texas, is expanding internationally with a Valuation Center of Excellence in Bogotá. They are hiring one Bi-Lingual Financial Analyst to join the founding Bogotá team.
- You will support U.S.-based Certified Valuation Analysts by preparing engagement files, consolidating financial statements, reviewing client documentation, assisting with owner interview preparation, conducting industry research, and entering data into the proprietary valuation model.
- The role is structured, detail-oriented, and process-driven, requiring accuracy, organization, and consistent communication. High English proficiency is essential. This is a full-time, on-site position in with competitive compensation, generous paid time off, and occasional opportunities for U.S. travel for training or collaboration.
- Key Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain engagement files; upload and organize client documents.
- Review client intake forms for accuracy and completeness; escalate inconsistencies.
- Enter data into the proprietary valuation model, following workflow rules and proper documentation standards.
- Consolidate and link financial statements; apply formatting standards and document unusual findings.
- Identify nonrecurring, discretionary, or unclear items; draft questions for client interviews.
- Conduct industry research and verify NAICS/SIC codes.
- Assist with owner interview preparation, attend when appropriate, and update workpapers.
- Conduct consolidated balance sheet reviews, flagging non-operating or personal items.
- Maintain organized documentation, communicate proactively, and uphold accuracy, integrity, and professionalism.
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Contaduría Pública, Finanzas y Comercio Internacional, Finanzas y Contaduría, Administración de Empresas, Economía, Contabilidad y Finanzas, or a related field from an accredited Colombian university.
- 2+ years of experience in financial statement review, audit support, tax, credit analysis, banking, corporate finance, FP&A, or similar analytical roles.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and ability to identify inconsistencies.
- Advanced Excel skills (linking sheets, reorganizing data, tracing formulas).
- High English proficiency (speaking, reading, writing).
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to summarize findings clearly.
- Comfortable working in structured, process-driven environments and collaborating with a team.
- Commitment to confidentiality, data integrity, and meeting deadlines.
- Nice to Have
- Familiarity with valuation concepts such as SDE, EBITDA, and nonrecurring adjustments.
- Experience supporting U.S.-based clients or working in professional services.
- Prior experience in audit, accounting, or tax environments.
