Job Overview
- We’re helping our client find a Content Strategist with deep experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)—especially food and beverage. In this role, you will lead the development of content frameworks, storytelling angles, campaign messaging, and multi-channel content while contributing to brand awareness, trust, and conversion across digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the end-to-end content strategy ensuring consistency across website, social media, email, ads, and product storytelling.
- Create content frameworks tailored to CPG food & beverage consumers—focusing on education, benefits, credibility, and conversion.
- Collaborate closely with creative and marketing teams to develop campaign concepts, scripts, landing page messaging, and brand narratives.
- Conduct content audits and competitive analyses to identify gaps, opportunities, and unique positioning angles.
- Build editorial calendars and structured content pipelines for product launches, seasonal campaigns, and cross-channel initiatives.
- Optimize content for SEO, engagement, and conversion while ensuring alignment with brand tone and voice.
- Provide creative direction for photo/video shoots and influencer/UGC storytelling relevant to CPG audiences.
- Use data and performance insights to refine messaging, improve content effectiveness, and drive audience growth.
- Partner with CRO, media buying, and retention teams to ensure messaging is optimized throughout the full funnel.
Must-Have
- 4–6+ years of content strategy experience with a strong focus on CPG brands—food & beverage required.
- Proven ability to build content systems that drive brand awareness, engagement, and digital conversions.
- Strong understanding of CPG consumer psychology, benefit-driven messaging, and value props that influence purchase decisions.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and creative direction skills with a sharp eye for storytelling.
- Experience working cross-functionally with designers, media buyers, creators, and product teams.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices, content performance analytics, and digital editorial planning.
- Ability to translate insights into creative concepts and actionable content frameworks.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in e-commerce, DTC, or content-driven CPG growth.
- Experience with Shopify, CMS platforms, and onsite content optimization.
- Knowledge of UGC, influencer collaboration, and paid social content requirements.
