Position Title: Bilingual Video Editor (Spanish/English) – Educational YouTube Content About La Enfermera Dulce (LED) La Enfermera Dulce is a bilingual diabetes education project led by a nurse and diabetes care & education specialist (CDCES). We create simple, practical, and compassionate content for people living with diabetes, their families, and health professionals. Our primary format is short and medium-length talking-head educational videos in Spanish and English, optimized for YouTube and social platforms. Role Overview We are looking for a freelance video editor who is a native Spanish speaker and comfortable communicating in written English. The core of the work is editing talking-head educational videos (nurse on camera) into: • Polished long-form videos (5–15 minutes) • Multiple short-form clips (30–60 seconds) for YouTube Shorts, Reels, and TikTok We care more about clarity, warmth, and consistency than flashy effects. Clean edits, good pacing, clear audio, and on-brand text/graphics are essential. Main Responsibilities • Edit raw talking-head footage into: o Full-length YouTube videos (educational, calm, clear) o Short vertical clips from the same footage for social media • Add simple titles, name/role bars, and on-screen labels that match our brand style • Incorporate LED visual assets (illustrations, icons, graphs, charts, etc.) that we provide, when they help explain a concept • Apply our logo, colors, and fonts consistently (we provide brand assets and examples) • Do basic audio clean-up (levels, light noise reduction) and simple color correction • Export videos in platform-appropriate formats and aspect ratios (horizontal + vertical) • Name and organize files according to our file-naming convention • Communicate clearly about timelines, feedback, and any issues with footage Requirements • Native Spanish speaker (Latin America preferred), with solid written English for email and notes • Proven experience editing talking-head or educational content • Comfortable adding on-screen Spanish and English text without spelling/grammar errors • Proficiency in at least one professional editing tool (Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci, CapCut Desktop, etc.) • Ability to follow and apply brand guidelines (colors, fonts, logo placement) • Reliable internet connection for transferring raw footage and exports • Organized, responsive, and open to structured feedback Nice-to-Have • Experience editing health, medical, or educational content • Experience creating thumbnails for YouTube and social platforms • Basic understanding of YouTube / Reels / TikTok formats and best practices • Familiarity with simple motion graphics for emphasis (for example, highlighting key phrases on screen) How We Will Work Together • We will start with a paid test project using one real recording: o 1 long-form video o 2–3 short vertical clips • If the collaboration is a good fit (style, communication, reliability), we will move into ongoing work with a regular pipeline of videos. • We are open to either per-project or blended pricing (for example, a flat rate per long video plus a rate per short), as long as it is predictable and sustainable for both sides. • Intellectual property: all videos and project files created for this project will be owned by La Enfermera Dulce (LED); portfolio use can be agreed on separately if needed.
